Every April, the Skagit River Valley farmland just north of Seattle is awash with acres and acres of Crayola-like colors. Here tulips, daffodils, and irises of all colors bring a touch of Holland to the Pacific Northwest. The fields glow during both the early morning and late-afternoon light. Even overcast days yield great photos. Just drive along the country roads between Mt. Vernon and LaConnor to enjoy the show. A map of the tulip fields and additional info are available at www.tulipfestival.org
