This scene captures the essence of Skagit Valley. Acres and acres of tulips extending almost as far as the eye can see--stunning rows of intense Crayola-like color bathed in the glow of the late afternoon sun.

Keep in mind there is nothing "natural" about this scene ("beautiful"--Yes!; "natural?"--No!). Instead it demonstrates the beauty that can result when hard work is combined with the hand of Providence. This scene would never have occurred if the land were placed in trust and never developed. We should have confidence that our descendents can make the most of their talents; they should have the same opportunities to use the land of this country for their own purposes. With a little faith, beautiful things definitely happen. Just look above.

Have Faith.
